Let your imagination run free in Ville Vau
Wander through fairy-tale worlds, dress up in handcrafted costumes, explore sensory-rich play spaces, and bring your own magical stories to life.
Ville Vau consists of several spacious oases designed for play, filled with fantastic costumes and exciting props. Let your imagination run free and discover new ways to explore creativity. Ville Vau is open to all children accompanied by an adult.
Each adult may bring a maximum of four children at a time. Please note that at certain times on weekends and during holidays, there may be a short wait to enter Ville Vau.
Every weekend, Ville Vau offers a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Ask upon arrival, and our hosts will be happy to guide you.

The studio
In Ville Vau’s studio, children and adults alike can let their creativity unfold.
We work with the art of “mending and making do” – a tradition that Hans Christian Andersen’s father taught his son. It is about gathering old things and giving them new life.
In September and October, you can try your hand at the art of “mending and making do” in the Atelier at Hans Christian Andersen’s House. Here, we transform old book pages into beautiful lanterns and make our own glue from flour and water – just as Hans Christian Andersen did.
Once your lantern is finished, it’s time to light it. Perhaps the shadows will begin to dance, grow and stretch? And perhaps they will even take on a life of their own …
