Garden walks in H.C. Andersen Garden
Walking, experiencing, and sensing are essential themes in H.C. Andersen’s fairy tales and form the foundation of the design of the H.C. Andersen Garden.
The garden landscape, museum architecture, and the museum’s main exhibition are closely interwoven, allowing visitors to step in and out of reality and imagination — just as in H.C. Andersen’s fairy tales.
The garden is composed as a journey through moods and atmospheres, where tall hedges guide visitors along winding paths through a series of scenographic garden spaces.
Rather than retelling the well-known fairy tales one-to-one, the garden allows visitors to take on the leading role themselves, exploring both the garden and the universe of H.C. Andersen’s stories.
Join a walk through the H.C. Andersen Garden with one of the museum’s guides and immerse yourself more deeply in Andersen’s world.
Duration: 40 minutes.
Price: DKK 75. Half price with annual pass.
