Tips for visiting with children

Children will often help us discover things, places, and connections we might never have noticed ourselves.
H.C. Andersens Hus is very child-friendly and letting children’s curiosity lead the way and set the pace can make your visit even more rewarding.
Perhaps you can invent a game together? For example: find the object you would most like to take home if you could, the most beautiful colour, or the funniest thing in the entire museum. Feel free to create your own challenges.

Ville Vau is the children’s universe of H.C. Andersens Hus, where you can play, imagine, and explore freely using scenographic props and costumes (available for both children and adults). In Ville Vau’s Atelier, you are welcome to use the materials provided by the museum, and anything you create may be taken home.

Please note Ville Vau’s special opening hours.

P.S. One adult may accompany up to four children in Ville Vau.

You can borrow strollers for young children if your own is too large to bring inside the museum. Unfortunately, strollers cannot be taken into Ville Vau.
