Your admission is time-slotted, and by booking your ticket in advance, you can secure entry at your preferred time.

We recommend allowing plenty of time for your visit to the children’s universe, Ville Vau. Ville Vau is designed for children aged 2 to 12. Please note that the opening hours at Ville Vau may differ from those of H.C. Andersens Hus.

Upon arrival at H.C. Andersens Hus, you can choose to borrow an audio guide to use during your visit. We recommend the audio guide for children aged 8 and above. The audio guide is available in Danish, English, German, and Chinese.

If your group consists of 20 people or more, we recommend purchasing group tickets.

Please note: A ticket to H.C. Andersens Hus also gives free admission to the Hans Christian Andersen’s Childhood Home within 30 days of your visit.

All visitors with a Ukrainian passport are granted free admission to both H.C. Andersens Hus and Hans Christian Andersen’s Childhood Home.

Accessibility is limited for wheelchair users due to the building’s listed status. Assistants accompanying visitors with disabilities have free admission. Service dogs are welcome. Prams and pushchairs cannot be brought into the museum.
