Tips for visiting with children
Children can help us discover things, places, and connections we might never have noticed ourselves.
H.C. Andersens Hus is child-friendly, and it can be a special experience for both young and old if children’s curiosity is allowed to take the lead and set the pace.
Perhaps you can come up with a game? For example, you could find the object you would most like to take home if you could. Find the most beautiful color or the silliest item in the whole museum. Or make up your own game.
Ville Vau is the museum’s children’s universe, where you are free to play and imagine, and explore the props and costumes in the scenography – which adults can also enjoy. In Ville Vau’s Atelier, you can use the museum’s materials, and anything you create is yours to take home.
Please note the special opening hours for Ville Vau here:
PS! One adult may accompany up to four children in Ville Vau.
You can borrow strollers for the youngest children if your own is too large to bring into the museum. Unfortunately, strollers are not allowed in Ville Vau.
